The Art of OpSec

The Art of OpSec

Stalking is more common than ever.

According to a recent National Violence Against Women Survey, In the United States, one out of every 12 women (8.2 million) and one out of every 45 men (2 million) have been stalked at some time in their lives. This figure is just for offline stalking. When cyberstalking is added in, the number is likely much higher.

Pro Tip

Fake cameras can be placed where you cannot put a real one. Dummy cameras are often mixed in with real security cameras to make a system appear to have more coverage.

If someone wants to know more than you want to tell them, try to change the subject. Many Op Sec practices do not involve anything that most people will notice either.

How do I get better at Op Sec?

Changing the way you think and act takes time. If you slip up, don’t be too hard on yourself. Good Op Sec becomes second nature over time.
